La celebración del “Día Mundial de la Alimentación” en Bigand, estará organizada por el S.A.M.Co “Dr Alfredo Berraz”, a cargo de un equipo interdisciplinario de profesionales que allí trabajan, con la participación de diferentes instituciones de la localidad que trabajan en temas relacionados a los sistemas agroalimentarios, y han sido invitadas a sumarse con distintas propuestas. La Jornada, denominada “Producir, nutrir y mejorar el medio ambiente para cuidar nuestra salud” se llevará a cabo el día Viernes 15 de Octubre de 2021, de 10 a 13 hs, frente al S.A.M.Co. Bigand.
Allí se expondrán folletos y cartelería para obsequiar a las personas que se acerquen y así se brindará información sobre la importancia del consumo de alimentos naturales, sobre prevención de enfermedades crónicas no trasmisibles, sobre desperdicios y contaminación del medio ambiente y sobre sistemas agroalimentarios responsables y sustentables. Además se brindarán 5 charlas gratuitas y abiertas a todo público, respetando los protocolos que hoy nos exige el Covid – 19. Las mismas estarán a cargo de profesionales y personas de la localidad con experiencia afines a la temática.

A partir del año 1979, la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Agricultura y la Alimentación (FAO), proclama el día 16 de Octubre, como “Día Mundial de la Alimentación”, coincidiendo esta fecha con el día de su fundación en el año 1945.
Este año el Día Mundial de la Alimentación hace un llamamiento a la acción para alcanzar mejor producción, mejor nutrición, un mejor medio ambiente y una vida mejor para todos. Con el lema “Nuestras acciones son nuestro futuro”, se conmemora también en 2021, el “Año Internacional de las frutas y verduras”, para así fomentar el consumo de productos frescos y naturales, haciendo nuestra dieta más variada y saludable.
Como institución de salud, que trabaja para la Promoción de la salud y la Prevención de enfermedades, hemos decidido formar parte de esta celebración, sumándonos con diferentes actividades destinadas a la población general. A continuación se detallan brevemente las mismas.
